Last night was a dream. I sat at table 66 with a wonderful group of industry friends. After the show I was walking out when I ran into some new fans that I had met earlier this week. These girls grabbed my hand and said “Let’s go meet Paul Brandt!”
I’m not going to lie. I have met a lot of famous people. All of whom I adore, look up to, and admire. When I met Paul Brandt last night and started telling him about who I am, and what he means to me, I started to get teary eyed (and totally embarrassed) this photo was right in the middle of that! He actually laughed, pointed at me and said “this is awesome!” I responded with “I can’t believe I am losing it right now” and we took a picture together.
I can’t tell you how much time he spent with us, and how incredibly approachable and friendly he was. He spent time chatting with me about Nashville, and gave me amazing pointers and genuinely helped me.
I am so proud that Paul is one of the most iconic faces of Canadian Country Music. Canada is truly lucky to have Paul representing us. I can’t tell you how important this little moment was and I will cherish it forever.
If you keep looking through, you will see a few of the other incredibly talented musicians I got to cross paths with. The amazing thing about Canadian Country Music is that everyone really is a family, and they accepted me in with open arms!
Thank you to everyone I met last night. You inspire me to continue going in this crazy industry. I feel like I have the power of an army behind me, because everyone I met believes in me as much as my fans do.
If you read all this, and made it this far, thank you for following my journey. You mean everything to me and I hope one day I am on a big giant stage and you can say “hey, I met that chick in a bar when she was only 14”. I want to make you as proud of me, as I am of all these incredible people I met this weekend.
Thank you Canadian Country Music Association for putting such an incredible event together! ?
